Editorial and corrections policy
A benchmark figure can weigh on a big decision: buying a patient list, hiring a second dental nurse, moving into a company structure. This is how the figures are chosen, checked and corrected.
Responsibility
Radif Partners answers for the published averages, the benchmarking engine and the texts; questions or doubts about a figure go to contact@dentimetre.fr.
Public, primary sources only
- Assurance Maladie open data (data.ameli.fr): fees, headcount, density, type of practice, patients;
- DREES and Insee: practitioners’ income and dental spending;
- UNASA: public professional statistics of approved management associations;
- CARCDSF, Urssaf, Légifrance, impots.gouv, service-public: contributions, agreed pay, minimum wage, tax.
A survey released by an accounting firm, a bank or a forum is not a source: a figure we could not reread at its producer is not published.
Averages, not league tables
We publish averages and, where an official distribution exists, its quantiles. We never invent a percentile, a “typical practice” or a target. A gap to the average is an observation, never a judgement on a practitioner.
Tests before release
Every build replays cases recomputed by hand from the official files: département and regional averages, rankings, UNASA cost ratios, the example Urssaf publishes for the general relief, the CARCDSF scale, corporation tax. Any gap blocks the release.
Review cycle
Updated with each new year Assurance Maladie publishes (in October), each new CARCDSF or Urssaf scale, and fully reviewed at least every 12 months.
Corrections
- Check against the primary source.
- Fix the data file or the engine, add a test.
- New date on the pages; a significant correction is noted on the page concerned.
Independence
No payment from any supplier, dental laboratory, bank, insurer or accounting firm. Any such relationship would be stated on the page concerned.
