About Dentimetre

Radif Partners

Publisher of benchmarking tools for French dental practices · fees, costs, ratios

Dentimetre is published by the company Radif Partners. It is written for dentists, orthodontists and stomatologists in private practice in France who want to know where their practice stands, whether long established, newly opened, or preparing a takeover, a partnership or a new hire.

Why this site exists

Search for “average dentist fees in France” or “dental practice cost ratio” and you mostly find undated national ranges, studies released by accounting firms to sell their services, and statistical PDFs that do not help you place yourself. Yet the useful data exists: every year the national health insurer, Assurance Maladie, publishes practitioners’ average fees for each département and specialty. Dentimetre does better than those pages because it sets your own fees against the official average for your specialty in your département, not against a national figure that blends Paris with rural Haute-Saône.

How we work

Averages come from Assurance Maladie open data, downloaded by a script anyone can rerun; costs from accounts published by UNASA, the federation of approved management associations; income from DREES and Insee; contributions from CARCDSF, the dentists’ pension fund, and Urssaf; pay from the dental practices’ collective agreement. Each value is written once in a dated file, and automated tests recompute by hand cases taken from the official files before every release. The details, limits included, are on the method and sources page.

What we are not

Radif Partners is not an accountant, an approved management association, a practice-setup consultant or a broker. We ask for no email or phone number to show a result, sell no contacts and promote no provider. The calculator gives figures to compare against; for decisions, your accountant and management association remain the right people to ask.

Funding

Dentimetre charges practitioners nothing and sells nothing to suppliers. Any future advertising would sit below the benchmark, never in front of it, and your fees and costs never leave your browser.

A French version

Every page also exists in French, the language of the data and of most of our readers.
